What Sha’Carri Richarson went through years ago after losing an Olympic spot in track and field was the most devastating.
A positive drug test for marijuana led to a suspension, and the world was heartbroken.
But she’s made quite the comeback from that, and now she’s an Olympian once again thanks to her performance at the United States Olympic Track and Field trials.
She bested her competitors in the 100m to qualify for Paris, and you can see the emotion on her face the moment she crossed the finish line before she took a knee as it hit her. Then, she headed into the stands to be with her family, who was in tears too.
