SGPC member expelled from SAD for defending Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann

BATHINDA: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Member Baldev Singh Chungha, who had stated that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann not seemed drunk when he paid obeisance at Takhat Damdamda Sahib on Baisakhi, has been expelled from Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

The party though has taken action against Chungha for indulging into anti-party activities and speaking against party president Sukhbir Singh Badal but sources said that the party was angry over his defence of chief minister as SAD wanted to take on Bhagwant Mann on this religious emotive issue.
