The Scottish FA have reportedly admitted a mistake was made in the Premier Sports Cup final as Rangers were denied a penalty against Celtic.
It's claimed referee chief Willie Collum has confessed Philippe Clement's side should have been awarded a spot-kick in the final at Hampden Park on Sunday.
The Scotsman reports Collum has discussed the matter with the new Rangers chief executive Patrick Stewart and accepted a mistake was made. Stewart is also thought to have spoken with Ian Maxwell.
Clement fumed at full-time after no penalty was given when Vaclav Cerny was fouled by Liam Scales in the first half of extra time.
Replays of the incident showed Cerny's foot on the line of the 18-yard box with IFAB rules stating: "If a defender starts holding an attacker outside the penalty area and continues holding inside the penalty area, the referee must award a penalty kick."
VAR official Alan Muir - assisted by Frank Connor - did not intervene after John Beaton awarded a free-kick. Due to the decision being 'factual' in nature, a review would not be required with Muir having the power to inform Beaton simply to upgrade the decision should he have deemed the foul to be inside the box.
However, Muir did not step in with the free-kick award standing.

Stewart had demanded answers from the Scottish FA over the decision-making process in his first day in the job on Monday.
And in an interview with Rangers TV, he stated he was awaiting a response over the matter.
However, the Scotsman report claims the SFA believe they have provided an explanation on the incident; simply, that the officials made an error.
VAR duo Muir and Connor have not been assigned matches this weekend after their role in the cup final on Sunday but Beaton and his two assistants from Hampden will officiate in Scottish Premiership matches.
Collum is expected to address the major flashpoint in the SFA VAR Review Show which will reportedly be recorded and published this week.
