Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker jokingly offered to help out in the kitchen of a popular Dublin restaurant.
Conor Hughes, owner of Soup 2 in Dublin’s Smithfield, revealed the Hollywood A-lister was in town having dinner with husband Matthew Broderick and their family, twin girls Tabitha and Marion and son James, when she noticed how busy his eatery was.
While Conor didn't ask the SATC star to give him a hand with washing dishes and cooking meals, he explained that both SJP and her husband Matthew were incredibly down-to-earth, and made no fuss about chatting to anyone that recognised them.

Conor said: "Sarah was one of the nicest customers I've had in a while. She noticed we were super busy, asked if I was short-staffed and jokingly offered to help in the kitchen, as I was cooking and running food!
"She seemed to know a lot about our business and clearly had done her due diligence,” he told Hello Magazine.
Conor said his friend Lauren even bought the star a cocktail. "My friend Lauren bought her a cocktail which SJP thanked her for personally as she paid at the counter."
Sarah appeared to be a huge fan of the restaurant and "had spent ages reading our reviews and chose us for their one meal before leaving Ireland as we 'seemed awesome'", Connor added.
He revealed the family had some fried chicken to start with ramen for the main, as well as the restaurant's cauli wings and salmon sashimi, with Conor even sending out a second plate for the family, revealing their son James appeared to be “a real foodie”.
"Cauli wings and salmon sashimi to share. I sent an extra plate of sashimi as they seemed to love the first one this gesture was met with amazed delight. They really appreciated it. Especially the kids."
Sarah even gave Conor a hug as the family left the restaurant after their kindness.
SJP and Matthew regularly holiday in Ireland, and visit Matthew’s holiday home in Donegal while here, which has been in Matthew’s family for more than 40 years. It was extensively renovated in 2018.
They were previously seen at a GAA tournament in Donegal - the tournament, titled the Broderick and McClafferty tournament, was named in honour of the Ferris Bueller actor's parents, who loved holidaying in the area and were avid GAA supporters.
Matthew, Sarah and their three children, James, Tabitha and Marion, happily presented medals and the winning trophy.
The New Yorkers are often spotted in local restaurants and shops and enjoy the relaxed pace of life and the fact that local people respect their privacy.
In 2019, Sarah Jessica Parker turned up in a local store for last-minute provisions last Christmas Eve. The family also stopped for breakfast at Hotel Kilmore in Cavan town.
SJP told staff and guests she was looking forward to her winter holiday in Co Donegal which she said was a "beautiful place to spend Christmas".
The previous year, Ms Parker and her family remained in Donegal throughout the festive season, celebrating the new year in Kilcar.
The star posted on Instagram, praising the county, posting: "Happy new year from a remote but beautiful land far away where wi-fi often eludes us but 2019 will not".
