Sewell Group’s facilities management business has launched a standalone water hygiene service.
The Hull-headquartered company has brought forward the division after finding many building owners were unsure of legal responsibilities over the provision.
And it was unveiled on World Water Day, with initial assessments in the coming weeks to trigger donations to charity Water Aid. Water hygiene and protecting people from Legionnaires disease is a statutory responsibility for any building owner under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, but many aren’t aware of what this entails. It has been part of Sewell's hygiene inspection provision for many years, but has now been brought to the fore.
