Several "drunk" passengers were booted off a Ryanair plane after allegedly shouting and smoking on board.
The flight from Manchester Airport to Marrakech, Morocco, was delayed for nearly an hour after being due to take off at around 6am on Saturday.
Travellers claimed a group of intoxicated women were removed from the aircraft after smoking and taking selfies while shouting "big up Scarborough".
One passenger told Manchester Evening News : "Airport to Marrakech delayed due to drunken women from Scarborough on board smoking and shouting.
"Thrown off - flight delayed while they look for luggage.
"They were taking selfies and putting them on Snapchat shouting 'big up Scarborough. Who's from Scarborough' across the whole plane."
The airline confirmed the flight was delayed by 55 minutes, and that police assistance was requested.
A Ryanair spokesperson said: "The crew of this flight from Manchester to Marrakech (September 17) requested police assistance ahead of departure after a small number of passengers became disruptive.
"These passengers were removed from the aircraft before it departed safely for Marrakech following a minor delay of 55mins."
The Mirror has contacted Greater Manchester Police for comment.
Holidaymakers described seeing the "drunken" group smoking on board, taking selfies to post on Snapchat and shouting "big up Scarborough. Who's from Scarborough."
It comes after an "intoxicated" passenger was handed over to police after risking the safety of holidaymakers on another flight from Manchester to Turkey, an airline said.
Footage shows the man - described as "unruly" - shouting and kicking at the seat in front.
And the man - who appears topless in the second half of the clip - says: "People are scared of me. I wonder why."
The Brit passenger seated next to him, who asked to be kept anonymous, filmed the ordeal.
They said: “After taking off the stewardess asked if they could put another passenger next to me.
“He kept shouting and as he was getting up he was knocking my partner and kids. People kept coming over and asking him to be quiet.
“The stewardess said they were going to divert the plane but I said ‘please don’t do that, I want to go on holiday’. It was progressively getting worse, he took his shoes, top and socks off and had his feet up high, screaming and shouting.
“The stewardess said they had contacted the police".
