Day one of Forbidden Fruit got underway on Friday with thousands of people descending upon The Royal Hospital Kilmainham for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic hit.
Among the artists taking to various stages across the weekend are Bicep, Lorde, Kojaque, Malaki, and many more.
Covid saw many music festivals grind to a halt back in 2020, and so music lovers will be rejoicing with the return of the three-day event.
While many of us have been holed up working from home, it can be easy to forget the string of rules that have to be followed before entering an outdoor gig.
As with all large-scale events, security is on hand to ensure that everyone gets in and out of the venue unscathed and that there are no dangers to festival-goers making it past the gate.
So as the weekend gets going, here are six things you’re best off leaving at home, or you risk them being binned before you enter.
You should bring:
- No liquids
- No illegal drugs
- No fireworks
- No drones
- No professional recording equipment
- No pets
- No large bags will be permitted to the concert site. Bags A4 size & smaller will be subject to security checks on entry. Those with no bags will be fast tracked into the arena.
As well as this, you should remember there is:
- No smoking in enclosed spaces
- No parking at the venue
- No re-entry on the same day
Ticket holders are reminded that “urinating inside and outside the event premises is Public Order Offence.
“Person's seen urinating in public will be permanently removed from festival grounds without warning and will be prosecuted. Please use the toilets provided.”
