Seven questions Prince Harry has yet to answer as bombshell book Spare hits shelves

Due to an error, Prince Harry's memoir Spare was stocked on shelves in Spain too early, and the leaked chapters have a lot of people talking.

In excerpts of the book, the Prince claimed that he had lost his virginity at 17 to an older woman and had even been attacked by his older brother, reports the Mirror. The book also states that he had taken drugs recreationally before.

And while the book does answer some burning questions, others have been left with more confusion than ever before. The Duke of Sussex is also set to sit down with Tom Bradby tonight (January 8) for an exclusive ITV interview.

So, what questions still remain unanswered by the Prince? Read on below to find out more.

Which specific stories did family members plant and give to the press?

In his documentary titled Harry and Meghan, the Prince explained that sometimes members of the Royal Family have their press office plant negative stories to the media about other family members - in order to make themselves look better.

The Duke of Sussex went even further in his memoir claiming that both he and Prince William suspected that his dad’s office had been planting stories in 2019 to improve his image at his son’s expense.

Similar claims to this were also made about Prince William's press team. In the documentary, Harry said: "To see my brother’s office copy the very same thing that we promised the two of us would never ever do, that was heart-breaking."

However, no specifics were given as to which particular stories were handed over to media outlets.

Who did Harry lose his virginity to at 17?

In his book, Harry reveals that he lost his virginity aged 17 to an older woman in a field behind a pub.

Harry said that the woman "treated me not unlike a young stallion”, and that it was a “quick ride, after which she smacked my rump and sent me off to graze”.

Everybody is trying to figure out which woman close to Harry that he is talking about. However, it is highly unlikely that he will ever reveal her identity.

Did the Royal Family know about his recreational drug use?

One of the more surprising sections in the book was Harry's confession to using cocaine when he was just 17-years-old.

Harry wrote: "It wasn’t very fun, and it didn’t make me feel especially happy as seemed to happen to others, but it did make me feel different, and that was my main objective. To feel. To be different.

“I was a 17-year-old willing to try almost anything that would alter the pre-established order.”

Other drugs that Harry admitted to using included cannabis and other psychedelic substances. He claimed that he smoked cannabis in his garden at Kensington Palace and at Eton.

It’s not clear whether members of the royal family were aware of his illegal habits, so perhaps this will be addressed in the ITV interview.

Who made the comments on Archie's skin colour?

During Harry and Meghan's interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan had claimed that Archie wasn't initially made a Prince after there were "concerns and conversations" about "how dark" his skin would be when he was born.

Both have continued to refuse to reveal who had made this comment about the colour of their son's skin.

What happened after the walkabout in Windsor after the Queen died?

Royal Family fans were taken aback when Prince William, Harry and their wives, Princess Kate and Meghan, stepped out together to greet people after the Queen's death.

It was the first time the two couples had appeared together since they had infamously fallen out. However, very little information was given about what happened to get the couple's to agree to appear together, or what happened afterwards.

Did the Royal Family try to prevent the book's publication?

It has been reported that Prince Harry did have second thoughts about publishing his book, after he visited the UK for the Queen’s jubilee.

A source who worked closely on Spare said: “The book was all ready to go but visiting his grandmother he had second thoughts.”

However, in true royal style there was no comment from the Royal Family prior to the publication of the book. And whether there were any phone calls trying to dissuade Harry from publishing the book has not been revealed.

Have Meghan and Kate built some bridges?

Stories of Kate and Meghan having a bust-up have been reported widely across the media, but Harry has now claimed that a heated conversation did infact unfold.

The Prince said that Meghan claimed Kate had “baby brain” around the time of Meghan and Prince Harry's royal wedding. Harry also detailed the flower girl incident in his memoir.

However, neither Harry or Meghan have confirmed whether the two women have made amends.
