Seven people taken to hospital after four-vehicle crash near Fort William

SEVEN people were taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle crash near Fort William.

The A830 was closed for several hours on Wednesday following the crash involving four vehicles.

Emergency services were called to the scene and attended patients.

Investigations were carried out before the road reopened around 7pm.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Ambulance Services (SAS) confirmed seven people had been taken to hospital.

They said: “We received a call at 2.24pm to attend a multiple vehicle road traffic collision on the A830, west of Corpach.

“We dispatched several ambulance response vehicles to the scene and transported seven patients to Belford Hospital.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.15pm on Wednesday, August 5, police were called to a crash involving four vehicles at Corpach, west of Fort William.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the crash.

“The road was closed for a number of hours and has since reopened.”
