On Saturday night, a tragic incident unfolded in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana, where seven juveniles fell victim to a shooting. The victims, aged between 12 and 17, were wounded in the incident.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department swiftly responded to the situation after receiving reports of gunshots in the vicinity of South Illinois Street and West Maryland Street around 11:30 p.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers encountered a group of juveniles, six of whom had sustained gunshot wounds. One of the victims was initially in critical condition but has since been upgraded to stable condition. The remaining five victims were also taken to the hospital with stable conditions.
Subsequently, a seventh victim arrived at a hospital independently with an apparent gunshot wound and is currently listed in stable condition.
As of now, no suspects have been apprehended in connection with the shooting. Investigators have disclosed that multiple firearms were involved in the incident.
