Serving Met Police officer, 29, to appear in court charged with rape

A serving Met Police officer is due in court charged with raping a woman two years ago.

PC Samuel McGregor, 29, is accused of raping a woman known to him on May 11, 2021.

She reported the incident to police on June 3 that year and PC McGregor was arrested the following day while an investigation was launched, Scotland Yard confirmed on Thursday.

PC McGregor, who was attached to the Central North Command Unit, is suspended from duty.

He was charged by postal requisition and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday charged with one count of rape.
