TRAIN services serving Aberdeen from Glasgow and Edinburgh are facing disruption.

Services between Glasgow Queen Street, Edinburgh Waverley, Dundee and Aberdeen stations are impacted.

A train fault between Portlethen and Stonehaven has caused the disruption.

Services to Inverurie and Montrose are also impacted.

ScotRail has requested three additional buses to connect to Aberdeen, and two for Dundee. These will act as shuttles for passengers with tickets to all stations between the two cities.

Rail tickets will also be accepted on Scottish Citylink buses between Aberdeen and Dundee in both directions.

The same will apply to Stagecoach East services between Arbroath and Dundee.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail customer operations director, said: “We’re sorry to customers who have experienced disruption to their journey.

“Anyone who has been delayed by 30 minutes or more is entitled to claim compensation through our Delay Repay Guarantee.”
