Series of public inquiries on Troubles incidents ‘not the way forward’ – Benn

The legacy of Northern Ireland’s past is not going to be dealt with by a series of public inquiries, Secretary of State Hilary Benn has said.

He came under questioning over the Government’s handling of legacy cases during a meeting of the Northern Ireland Affairs Committee on Monday.
