Elle Fanning broke down in tears upon finding out she had received her first Oscar nomination.

The 27-year-old actress is "in absolute shock" that her performance of Rachel Kemp in Sentimental Value has earned her a nod in the Best Supporting Actress category alongside Inga Ibsdotter Lilleaas (Sentimental Value), Amy Madigan (Weapons), Wunmi Mosaku (Sinners) and Teyana Taylor (One Battle After Another) at the 98th Academy Awards on March 15.
