Sensex jumps 814 points as Economic Survey projects 8-8.5% GDP growth for FY23; Nifty ends above 17,300

NEW DELHI: Equity indices surged on Monday with the benchmark BSE sensex rising over 800 points as finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman tabled the Economic Survey in Parliament.

The benchmark BSE sensex started the session on a positive note, and surged 814 points or 1.42 per cent to close at 58,014. While, the broader NSE Nifty settled 238 points or 1.39 per cent higher at 17,340.
