New Delhi: Senior officer Ranjan Prakash Thakur has taken over as the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of state-owned Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) after serving as the Principal Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department in Jammu and Kashmir.
He is a 1990 batch Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer. During his tenure as the Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department in Jammu and Kashmir, he had boosted the investment in the industrial sector in the state.
Earlier, Ranjan has worked as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) in Danapur and Additional Director General of Doordarshan.
He did his higher education from Delhi's prestigious St. Stephen's College, IIFT and IIM Indore.
After assuming charge, he spoke to Dynamite News and asserted that his priority would be to bring absolute transparency in the ONGC.
