Senator Menendez And Wife To Be Arraigned On New Charges

U.S. Senator Bob Menendez to make first remarks following indictment

New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez and his wife are facing new charges related to allegations of obstruction of a federal investigation into bribery. The Senator was indicted on 12 new felony charges last week, adding to the legal troubles he already faces.

According to prosecutors, Menendez is accused of instructing his lawyers to provide false information during interviews with authorities. This false information allegedly included claims that the alleged bribe payments were actually loans, in an attempt to mislead investigators.
