A Senator has called for Dublin Airport officials to come before the Oireachtas Transport Committee after this morning's "fiasco".
Dublin Airport Authority's CEO Dalton Phillips is already steping down from his role in September.
Mr Phillips has been in charge of Dublin Airport for almost five years but is moving to the role of CEO of the Greencore Group, an Irish food company.

The daa chief will stay at the airport during the summer months before departing in September.
However, Senator Lorraine Clifford-Lee has called for an explanation to this morning's madness.
She tweeted: "The DAA should appear before the Oireachtas Transport Committee this week to explain the fiasco at Dublin Airport this morning.
"Between this and the chaos of the passport office, people are right to be upset and annoyed. It’s not on."
Meanwhile, Former Lord Mayor Cllr Dermot Lacey said that the entire senior management of Dublin Airport should resign after his own experience.
He said: "After what I have seen this morning board and senior management if Dublin Airport should resign. I have never seen anything so badly managed."
Management previously apologised for today's queues.
They said: ""Due to significant queues inside the terminal for check-in, bag drop & security, passengers queueing outside the terminal may not make their flight & may need to contact their airline to rebook.
"We sincerely apologise for the obvious frustration and inconvenience this may cause."
Dublin Live have contacted daa for comment.
