After a tumultuous few years, Senate Republicans have shown enthusiastic support for former President Donald Trump as he emerges as the party's presumptive nominee to challenge President Joe Biden in the upcoming election.

Despite previous condemnations and distancing following the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, many GOP senators have now embraced Trump, with Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell even shaking his hand and giving him a fist bump during a recent meeting on Capitol Hill.
