The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee confirmed President Donald Trump's Cabinet nominee for HUD Secretary, Eric Scott Turner, on Thursday morning. Thirteen members of the committee approved his nomination while 11 opposed.

Eric Scott Turner, the nominee for the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), has successfully passed the first hurdle in the confirmation process. The Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee voted on his nomination, with 13 members in favor and 11 against.
