'Selfless' act at Asda 'restored faith' of mum and sister

A "selfless" act at an Asda checkout "restored faith" in two sisters.

One of the women took to Facebook to share the kindhearted act from a complete stranger at Asda in Southport.

A Southport mum walked away from the self-service checkout whilst looking after her child but forgot to take the change from the till.

Thanks to a generous stranger, the £50 change was handed in at the store and reunited with the mum.

The sister of the mum posted in a local community group: "Looking to say thank you to a kind soul who found £50 in ASDA self-service check out last night, but handed it in.

"This money belonged to my sister, who whilst busy with her child forgotten to take her money with her.

"It could have been very easy for you to take it, but you didn’t, which was a very kind and selfless thing to do. You have restored our faith. Thank you again."

People were quick to comment how amazing the act of kindness was.

One person wrote: "What a truly lovely thing to hear about."

Another said: "What a fantastic thing to do for someone."
