NEW YORK — Selena Gomez will be a no-show on “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon” on Wednesday — but for a very valid reason.
The actress and singer’s scheduled appearance on the top-rated late night chatfest has been canceled due to her COVID-19 diagnosis.
“I’m not going to be on Fallon tonight. I ended up getting COVID but am resting and feeling ok,” she shared to her Instagram Story, alongside a snapshot of her resting on a couch.
“A friendly reminder COVID is still out there,” Gomez added. “Get updated on your boosters. I was actually scheduled to get mine this week. Love you all.”
The “Only Murders in the Building” star was booked to promote her forthcoming Apple TV+ documentary “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me,” which premieres Nov. 4 on the streamer.
Directed and produced by Alek Keshishian, the Beirut-born filmmaker behind Madonna’s 1991 documentary “Truth or Dare,” explores Gomez’s physical and mental health issues, and her attempts to heal over the past six years.
In June 2021, the 30-year-old “Barney & Friends” alum announced she’d undergone a kidney transplant prompted by a battle with lupus, an autoimmune disease.
