Take a bird's eye view of Newcastle and Gateshead as you've never seen it before in this wonderful drone footage captured 120 metres above the ground.
The three-minute video is the latest produced by Peace Drone, which specialises in cinematic drone videography and photography. Since February last year, they have covered much of the North East coastline, from Amble to Whitby with many locations in-between. Earlier this year, Peace Drone kindly shared with ChronicleLive their striking video of St James' Park.
This newly-released footage gives us unprecedented 360-degree views of Newcastle, Gateshead and the River Tyne. The film begins looking East with the unmistakable sight of the Tyne Bridge, the Sage Gateshead, the Millennium Bridge and the Quayside as the Tyne snakes away into the distance.

With the camera slowly revolving, Newcastle city centre - and beyond - gradually comes into view, with notable landmarks including: 55 Degrees North (the former Swan House), the Central Motorway, Grey Street, the Town Moor, Eldon Square shopping centre, Newcastle Cathedral, St James' Park, St Mary's Cathedral, the Central Station, the Centre For Life, the multi-storey tower blocks of the West End, and Newcastle Arena.
As the view turns towards Gateshead, we see the Redheugh, King Edward VII and QEII Metro Bridges across the Tyne, and even catch a glimpse of historic Dunston Staiths. There are modern housing developments, the Hilton Hotel, the town centre's Trinity Square complex and views of the High Level and Swing Bridges before we return to the starting point.
Peace Drone's latest drone videos include the likes of Beadnell Bay, Berwick, Alnmouth, Amble, Scarborough and Tynemouth Pier to Blyth Pier. You can access their fantastic content on their website http://peacedrone.co.uk and on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
