If you're looking for somewhere unique to try in Newcastle then look no further than TSUJIRI.

The new Japanese "dessert tea house" has opened on St Andrew's Street in Newcastle's Chinatown specialising in drinks, ice creams and cakes made with matcha green tea powder.

Business owners Charles Tang, 39, and Robert Lao, 41, came up with the idea of running their own franchise of the global business TSUJIRI following a trip to Japan where Charles saw firsthand how popular matcha products were.
