Security staff to strike for 14 days at Aberdeen Airport

Aberdeen Airport Unite ICTS

Security staff at Aberdeen International Airport who are members of the Unite union will stage 14 days of walk-outs between 6 July and 1 August.
The industrial action stems from an escalating pay dispute with their employer, ICTS, which Unite claims has refused to make an acceptable offer.
Unite members unanimously supported the strike, which is expected to cause significant delays for holidaymakers during the peak summer travel period.
Unite general secretary Sharon Graham stated that ICTS is a profitable company that can easily afford a decent pay increase, accusing them of prioritising profits over people.
The union warns of massive disruption at Aberdeen airport if ICTS does not return to talks with an offer workers can accept.
