PART of Scotland’s NC500 route has been named among the UK’s most scenic drives.
Kylesku Bridge, characterised by its distinctive curved shape, offers breathtaking views over Loch a' Chàirn Bhàin.
The route was picked as one of four by Hankook Tire UK, who said it is definitely one to add to the bucket list.
Opened in 1984, the A-listed structure officially known by its Gaelic name Drochaid a’ Chaolais Chumhaing is one of the many highlights found on the NC500.
The team behind the research also encouraged people to stop at the Kylesku Hotel Restaurant on the shores of Loch Glendhu for a bite to eat.
Managing director of Hankook Tyre UK Chang Yool Han said: “The UK is home to some of the most beautiful scenery, offering plenty of opportunity to escape the daily grind and lose yourself in nature.
“Interestingly, Google searches for ‘scenic drives near me’ have increased more than 5000% in the last 30 days alone, signalling motorists’ enthusiasm for getting out on the road now that summer is almost here.”
Making up the rest of the list of the four scenic drives were the Honister Pass in Cumbria, the Causeway Coastal Route in Northern Ireland and Hope Valley in the Peak District.
