Section of A9 closed in both directions due to police incident

Police A9 Dunkeld the (Facility)

THE A9 has been closed in both directions near Dunkeld due to a police incident.

The nature of the incident is not known.

Drivers are being urged to find alternative routes.

A post on X from Traffic Scotland said: “The road is currently closed in both directions due to a police incident.

“Road users should use caution on approach and find an alternative route at this time.”

A southbound diversion route is in place via the A924 towards Pitlochry.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are assisting police at the scene.
