The Secret Service has announced that they will not be providing real-time updates on disciplinary actions taken against employees in connection with the failed assassination attempt on former President Trump. Acting Director Ronald Rowe has revealed that a mission assurance review is currently underway to investigate any potential policy violations that may have occurred leading up to the shooting incident on July 13.
Rowe emphasized that if any policy violations are uncovered during the review, a separate disciplinary investigation will be initiated against individuals found to have breached Secret Service protocols. He stated, 'Those are internal investigations that deal with employee matters, so we're not going to be able to provide you updates on that. But what I will tell you is that these were very thorough investigations. And if, in fact, there were policy violations and they are substantiated, those employees will be held accountable.'
While specific details of the disciplinary actions will not be disclosed, Rowe mentioned that if any employees are being held accountable, a public statement will be issued without delving into specifics.
