Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has stated that her agency is currently investigating why an agent was not positioned on top of the roof that Thomas Matthew Crooks used to fire at former President Trump during a rally. Cheatle mentioned that they are still looking into the advanced process and decision-making that led to this situation.
According to Cheatle, the building where the shooter was located was outside of the perimeter on the day of the visit. She emphasized that this aspect is one of the key points being examined during the investigation. The goal is to determine whether different decisions should have been made to prevent such incidents in the future.
