The Secret Service has advised former President Trump's campaign to avoid holding outdoor rallies with large crowds following a recent incident where a shooter nearly assassinated him during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13. According to reports, Secret Service agents expressed their concerns to Trump campaign advisers in the aftermath of the Butler shooting. The Washington Post cited three sources familiar with the matter who spoke on condition of anonymity.
As a result of the Secret Service's advice, the Trump campaign is now exploring indoor venues such as basketball arenas and other large indoor spaces that have the capacity to accommodate thousands of people. The campaign team is reportedly steering clear of planning any large outdoor events in the near future, as per the Washington Post.
