Curtis Warren was asleep in bed when elite Dutch police stormed his farmhouse with stun grenades and automatic weapons.
The team had spent months watching Warren and his henchmen who were based in an isolated farmhouse in rural Sassenheim. At the time Warren was suspected of being one of Europe's leading drug smugglers, with direct links to Colombian cartel bosses.
Warren and his crew were arrested at gunpoint under the cover of darkness. Police found weapons and even hand grenades in some of the guests' bedrooms.
