Tension surrounding motorsport racing in the Middle East is at its peak. Recently, it was announced that the Dakar wouldn't compete in Saudi Arabia next January due to safety concerns; however, Liberty Media seems hell-bent on moving forward with its MotoGP and F1 events in Qatar. Bearing in mind that the Qatar GP was originally scheduled to take place in April but was rescheduled to November 6-8, and it seems the majority of the grid isn't happy it was rescheduled whatsoever.
Right now, the MotoGP grid is at Philip Island for the Australian GP, and one rider just revealed that the riders just had a secret meeting. According to GPOne, it's believed the grid voted on whether the Qatar GP should go. After all, these high-profile riders could be facing extreme security risks, should they go.
