A second person has died after being injured in a crush at Brixton Academy.
Police were called to reports of a "large number of people attempting to force entry to the venue [Brixton Academy]" on Thursday, December 15. Afrobeat artist Asake was performing and had to stop the gig after approximately 10 minutes.
Eight people were taken to hospital with injuries following the incident. Police have now confirmed Gaby Hutchinson, 23, died in hospital in the early hours of Monday, December 19. He was working as one of the contracted security providers for the event that evening.

Mum of two Rebecca Ikumelo, 33, from Newham, east London, died on Saturday morning, while two other women - aged 21 and 23 - remain in a critical condition in hospital.
Singer-songwriter Asake released a statement on Instagram after the gig, he said: "My heart is with those who were injured last night and caused any form of discomfort. I pray you get well soonest. I am also in the process of reaching out to individuals.
"I still do not have the full brief from the venue management themselves as to what led to the disruption at the entrance of the Brixton Academy, but we are thankful that all was peaceful at the end. For my people who enjoyed the beginning of my performance, I am sorry that it was cut short.
"Thank you for your unbelievable love, London. I love you too much! I'm looking forward to seeing you again in a bit!"
