Authorities in Florida have charged a second woman in connection with a tragic shooting incident that was broadcast live on Facebook. Lakevia Pringle, 31, turned herself in to Sanford police and is facing a first-degree premeditated murder charge. The incident, which occurred on November 5, resulted in the shooting death of 34-year-old Lauren Martin.
Pringle is accused of recording the Facebook livestream that captured the fatal shooting. Her girlfriend, Savon Tyler, 35, was arrested earlier in the week and charged with the same crime. According to Sanford police, Pringle can be heard on the livestream encouraging Tyler to continue the altercation that led to Martin's homicide.
A redacted police report revealed that during the livestream, a voice can be heard instructing Tyler to 'Fire her a-- up!' Following a review of the video and other evidence, a warrant was issued for Pringle's arrest. Despite multiple attempts to interview her, Pringle did not cooperate with authorities.
Court records indicate that the altercation began when Martin drove to Tyler's residence. Tyler armed herself with a children's miniature baseball bat and a 9mm handgun upon seeing Martin. The confrontation escalated into a physical fight, during which Martin was shot.
Martin, who tragically lost her life in the incident, leaves behind three children. A GoFundMe account has been set up by her family to support the children during this difficult time. Both Pringle and Tyler are currently being held in the Seminole County Jail without bond.
