Two people have been charged with murder after police claimed a father of three was shot dead in a planned attack that left a community in shock.
A 24-year-old woman is the second person to be arrested after the 35-year-old father's body was found in a Lowood home west of Brisbane on Tuesday.
A 19-year-old man had also been charged with murder earlier this week.
Police said the victim was an associate of the woman and teenager.
"We believe this was a targeted and planned attack," Detective Inspector Wayne Francis told reporters.
Emergency services discovered the 35-year-old's body when they were called to the Lowood home early on Tuesday morning.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a black Kia Cerato had pulled up outside the home after 1am on Tuesday.
"A single shot was fired from the vehicle and we allege that shot killed the victim," Det Francis said.
A three-day police investigation has already recovered the vehicle and the firearm.
"We do have who we believe to be the primary offenders in custody," Det Francis said.
He said the man's devastated family had been kept up to date with the investigation.
"Obviously this is an extremely traumatic time for the family, the victim being a father of three children," he said.
Det Francis said the man's Lowood neighbourhood was in "shock".
"It's a real close knit sort of pocket there where the offence occurred," he said.
The woman is set to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Friday.
The 19-year man charged with murder appeared in court on Thursday.
