The Washington Commanders released their second injury report of the week Wednesday ahead of Saturday’s all-important clash against the San Francisco 49ers.
Guard Saahdiq Charles remains the only Washington player who missed practice. Charles is dealing with a concussion.
Cornerback Benjamin St-Juste remains limited with an ankle injury. However, he is on track to play Saturday. Defensive end Chase Young was limited. Dr. James Andrews was in town to check Young’s knee Sunday, and he received a good report. Young’s status will likely remain up in the air until Saturday.
Left guard Andrew Norwell [shoulder], safety Kamren Curl [ankle] and running back Antonio Gibson [foot] were all limited. Norwell and Gibson were limited last week but played in the game. Curl was added to the injury report Tuesday.
The 49ers had four players miss practice Wednesday, which was expected. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and wide receiver Deebo Samuel were out, which was expected. Garoppolo is likely gone for the season, while Samuel is dealing with a multi-week injury.
Trent Williams returned to practice Wednesday as did defensive lineman Kerry Hyder on a limited basis. Running back Christian McCaffrey and quarterback Brock Purdy were limited again Wednesday but expect to play vs. the Commanders.
