On a seemingly ordinary day at Abundant Life Christian School, a horrifying incident unfolded that left the tight-knit community in shock and disbelief. Second grader Nora Gottsckalk, only 8 years old, found herself in the midst of chaos as she prepared for lunch in the school hallway.
As the sound of gunshots rang out, Nora witnessed a teacher she knew well being injured, crying out for help in pain. The young girl, clutching a SpongeBob candy in her hand, recounted her fear and sadness to reporters, reflecting the trauma she experienced in that moment.
