Emhoff's visit to Paris will span from Wednesday to the following Monday, during which he will lead the presidential delegation at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics.
While in Paris, Emhoff plans to engage in various diplomatic activities, including meetings with government officials and senior leaders at the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). Additionally, he will participate in a roundtable discussion focusing on promoting education about the Holocaust and combating antisemitism. Emhoff will also deliver remarks at an annual event commemorating the victims of the 1982 attack at a Jewish restaurant in Rue des Rosiers, which tragically resulted in the loss of six lives and injuries to 22 others.
