Second boy charged in relation to Glenroi Heights Public School fire causing $3 million in damage

A second boy has been charged in relation to a fire at a primary school in the New South Wales central west that caused an estimated $3 million damage.

A 13-year-old was arrested at a home in Orange on Thursday and charged with destroying property by fire and aggravated breaking and entering.

On Tuesday, a 12-year old boy was charged with similar offences.

Emergency services were called to Glenroi Heights Public School about 10.30pm on December 5, after a two-storey administration building was allegedly set alight.

Both boys will face the Children's Court in Orange after being denied bail.

The school did not reopen after the fire and students were forced to learn from home before the school holidays started.
