Sebastien Pocognoli has confirmed Ben Gannon-Doak will play as a right wing-back for Scotland against North Macedonia.
The winger is in the starting XI for the first time under Pocognoli this evening as Scotland look for a first win of the Nations League campaign.
Pocognoli will be desperate to get his first win as manager after a 0-0 draw against Slovenia and 3-0 loss to Switzerland after being reduced to ten men.
And he has made two changes to his line-up, with Stephen Welsh coming in for the suspended Hendry, and Gannon-Doak preferred to Aaron Hickey and Nathan Patterson at wing-back.
Speaking to BBC Scotland, Pocognoli said: "Yes, it's not only about him, but we're excited to see, I hope, a good game for 90 minutes and a clear structure.
"Ben is starting on the right side today; it was planned that in the third game he'd have the opportunity to show himself.
"We always bring a game plan where we want to be offensive and try to create chances. The first game we created a lot, enough to win the game. Today I hope we can do the same and be more clinical in the box."
