Season aspect which Bolton share with Sunderland and Portsmouth which should encourage Wanderers

Bolton Wanderers are aiming to make it three wins on the spin in League One this weekend when they entertain Sunderland.

Ian Evatt's side have won fixtures against Ipswich Town and Shrewsbury over the past two weekends and can make it three on the bounce against the Black Cats.

Wanderers sit 15th in the table as things stand and are aiming to get back in the top half as soon as possible.

Lee Johnson's side meanwhile are second in the League One standings at present, on the same points as top side Wigan Athletic, albeit the Latics have four games in hand.

Wanderers have won nine games so far this campaign, and there is an encouraging statistic about Bolton's season so far when they have taken the lead in League One matches.

They are part of a group of 12 sides which are yet to lose a league game after taking the lead this campaign.

In the Championship, only Blackburn Rovers and Luton Town can boast that feat.

In League One, Wanderers, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Burton Albion and Cambridge United are yet to lose when going ahead.

And in League Two, Carlisle United, Exeter City, Forest Green Rovers, Swindon Town and Tranmere Rovers still have their unbeaten record when going ahead in matches intact.
