Seaside Summit brings red carpet hospitality know-how to Cleethorpes

Hospitality tips from the top of the industry will be offered up at the latest Seaside Summit.

E-Factor’s tourism focused event returns to Cleethorpes with Peter Avis as keynote speaker. The multi-award-winning customer service consultant brings 25 years’ international experience in the hospitality sector to the event, which takes place on Thursday.

He worked closely with Sir Richard Branson on projects including managing the renowned London Roof Gardens and launching Virgin Limited Edition hotels including Mont Rochelle in South Africa and the Kasbah Tamadot in Morocco. He was also on hand to personally supervise the wedding of Sir Richard’s daughter on his private Necker Island.

He will tell his story from dishwasher to UK Restaurant Manager of the Year, while Stuart Jarman, managing director at The Potions Cauldron drinks emporium in York and Blackpool will also take to the stage to discuss customer data insight between seaside trends and city destinations.

Prior to his recent appointment, he successfully managed several visitor attractions including; Sealife, Legoland, Madame Tussauds, The Dungeons and Peter Rabbit in several locations including; York, Edinburgh, Manchester and Blackpool. Stuart also worked for the Jorvik Group as head of operations prior to joining Merlin Entertainments in 2016.

Closer to home, and with more than 15 years’ experience in private businesses and public sector projects, Charlotte Goy, chief executive of Destination Lincolnshire, will also participate, with Richard Dowson, from North East Lincolnshire Council, to provide an overview of the key developments in Grimsby and Cleethorpes, and how they can help support the visitor economy.
