Seaside Los Angeles Hotel Cut Off After Flooding Emergency

Alice White-Zmigrocki and her husband Joe Zmigrocki look from a Inn at Playa del Rey's balcony as workers pump flood water from the street surrounding the place, in Los Angeles

In a picturesque coastal town of Los Angeles, California, a popular seaside hotel finds itself marooned and cut off from the outside world after heavy rainfall caused severe flooding in the area. The hotel, once bustling with vacationers and travelers, now stands as an isolated island in the midst of floodwaters. With roads impassable and communication lines disrupted, guests and staff trapped inside the hotel are anxiously waiting for rescue and longing to return home.

The unexpected turn of events occurred when a powerful storm system swept across the region, bringing torrential downpours and triggering flash floods. The hotel, located near the waterfront, became a victim of this relentless deluge. The surrounding streets transformed into raging rivers, making escape virtually impossible. As the waters continued to rise, the hotel quickly became an island unto itself, disconnected from the rest of the community.
