Police say they are not ruling anything out in the search for missing woman Esther Wallace, including the possibility she has chosen to disappear.
Her partner said they became separated in the early hours of the morning.
Since then, some clothing, including a white jacket and a shoe print, have been found, but testing is yet to confirm if it is connected to Ms Wallace.
Her partner is not a person of interest, and there are no suspects in the case.
Today, the Acting Commander of the Central West Police District, Acting Superintendent Gerard Lawson, said he "would actually caution the community about making speculation about what they think might have happened".
"… We have an open mind to all possibilities, but we certainly don't believe at this stage that it looks like a homicide," he said.
"Her partner has been very, very cooperative with police."
Given Ms Wallace has not been seen for so long, Acting Superintendent Lawson conceded she may have since died.
"Sadly, the tragic reality is that day by day, the chances of finding her alive are diminishing."
But he did not rule out the chance she had chosen to disappear.
"… There's a possibility she's made her own way out and has chosen not to come forward," Acting Superintendent Lawson said.
"She has the right to be anonymous … but we'd like her to come forward so we can stop spending all these resources and time trying to find her."
