Mountain rescue teams have been helping police in the search for a missing man. Martin Clatworthy was last seen in Blaencwm, Rhondda, at around 11am on Tuesday, March 7.
Members of Central Beacons Mountain Rescue were called in by South Wales Police in the early hours of Thursday morning to help with a search amid snow, ice and heavy rain conditions.
They were assisted by member of the Western Beacons Mountain Rescue Team throughout Thursday (March 9) who helped carry out a search in what was described as "challenging conditions".
A statement said they had been searching in numerous areas of mountainsides surrounding Rhigos and Blaen Cwm, Rhondda.
The search was stood down late on Thursday, and a statement said: "As darkness fell, sadly nothing had been found and we were stood down for the day. If anyone has any sightings or information of Martin, please contact SWP via the methods stated in their appeal."
Police have said that Martin is around 5ft 7ins, has brown eyes and short dark hair. He was last seen wearing black jeans and a fleece. Anyone with info is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 quoting 2300075324. Stay informed on Rhondda news by subscribing to our newsletter
