Seann Walsh's pregnant partner Grace Adderley is hoping Boy George will perform at their child's first birthday.
Grace, due to give birth in February, has jetted out to support Seann, 36, currently starring in I'm A Celebrity, and hopes his jungle stint can change the public's perception of him.
Asked if she is missing comedian Seann, she said: "I do really miss him but I want him to have the full experience I want him to be in as a long as possible just so he has those memories and yeah I am pregnant so it is strange but I have done all my scans and he was there for all of those so I am now at the point where I have no scans left anyway so it has been fine."
Aware of his previous reputation as a Strictly love rat, she avoids going online in case there is hate about his Strictly past. He was caught kissing pro partner Katya Jones in 2018 when they both had partners.
Grace said: "All the messages I have had from friends and family and work colleagues has been really positive but I don’t like to go online and look because it is upsetting for me if anyone says anything nasty and he can’t read it anyway so I am only hurting myself if I read any negative comments."
Referring to the Strictly fallout, she said: "I hope this is a new chapter. This is the Seann I know and so I hope so I haven’ tried to look too much online I just go off what everyone that has been messaging me says and it is all positive. I am really happy for him."
Asked if we are seeing the real Seann she said: "Seann is literally laughing all the time and because his laugh is so loud even the neighbours messaged me like ‘oh we really miss hearing Seann laugh in the morning’.
"He is a child trapped in a 36-year-old’s body but also like an old man as well complaining about his back in camp.
"I don’t think he has any unlikely relationships because he does get on with everybody like if you came into the area where we live he is best friends with the barista, he is best friends with the lady who works down the market, he is just friends with everyone, so no, it doesn’t surprise me at all. He is very personable."
Grace revealed that Seann will be thrilled with one campmate in particular.
She went on: "He is a fan of Boy George and I knew that was the first gig he had ever been to with his mum and so I knew before he would absolutely love that BG was in there and he loves creative people as well so there is a lot of creatives in there so I knew he was going to get on with everybody it didn’t surprise me at all.
"We don't know what we are having but we are probably going to have a first birthday party for the baby where Boy George is performing, maybe Babatunde will come on and do a set, it will be great!"
The only thing Grace could not explain was Seann's new friendship with fellow late entry Matt Hancock. She said simply: "It is very odd".
Before he went into camp, Seann said it was Grace who persuaded him to go on the show.
At the time he said: “Grace is the main reason why I am doing I’m A Celebrity.
“As you can imagine I was very scared after the last time I was on a big show because the fallout was not something you would want to go back to.
"Grace talked me into doing it. She convinced me it was the wrong attitude to have, not doing it because I feared what people would think, but to do it because I would have a wonderful time."
However Grace played down her role in the decision.
She said: "I wouldn’t take the credit for saying it was my idea for him to go he was obviously nervous about accepting it and I just said well people are going to say what they want about you regardless of whether you do this or not so you may as well just enjoy your life and say yes to these opportunities it is such a fun life experience."
