Alexander Volkanovski continued his dominant run as featherweight champion on Saturday when he registered his fifth title defense at UFC 290, this time against Yair Rodriguez.
Volkanovski (26-2 MMA, 13-1 UFC) put on one of his most complete performances to at en route to a third-round TKO of Rodriguez in the headliner at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, once again raising questions about who could test him.
There are two clear options for Volkanovski after the win: Take on undefeated contender Ilia Topuria (14-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC), or move back to lightweight for a rematch with Islam Makhachev (24-1 MMA, 13-1 UFC).
