Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have been the talk of college football so far this season after getting off to a 2-0 start with wins over TCU and Nebraska, rising all the way to 18th in the nation. Sanders completely turned over Colorado’s roster after being hired as the head coach this year and the results have been impossible to ignore.
It’s led some to ask whether Sanders would make the jump to the NFL, and more importantly, if he’d succeed as a head coach. One guy who knows a little bit about coaching in the pros, Sean McVay, has no doubt Coach Prime would make it in the NFL.
Buy Rams Tickets“Absolutely,” McVay said on ESPNLA radio. “He’s done a great job at a bunch of different levels. He’s a motivator. I really enjoyed the documentary that they did on him on Amazon Prime where you can really see the way he connects, the way he cares about these guys. Obviously, their football is really high-caliber in all three phases.”
Whether Sanders has any interest in jumping from college to the pros is one thing, but there’s probably not much doubt that at least one NFL team would want to hire him after the job he’s done at both Jackson State and Colorado.
