Sean McVay gives update on Rob Havenstein’s status for Week 13 vs. Saints

The Los Angeles Rams have missed Rob Havenstein in their last three games. He’s been sidelined by an ankle injury, which he suffered in the team’s Week 9 win over the Seattle Seahawks.

He’s been making progress despite his recovery taking longer than expected, getting in two limited practices on Thursday and Friday last week. Barring a setback, it appears he’s on track to play against the New Orleans Saints this week.

Sean McVay said Tuesday that the Rams “do expect to get Rob Havenstein back,” which is great news.

“There is,” McVay said of whether there’s a chance Havenstein will play. “I think he’s trending towards that being more likely than less. We’ll see how practice goes tomorrow, but that’s the plan.”

Havenstein has missed four games this season, and the Rams have gone just 1-3 in those contests. Both Warren McClendon Jr. and Joe Noteboom have helped fill in for him during those absences, with McClendon starting the last two games against the Patriots and Eagles.
