Cooper Kupp wasn’t quite ready to suit up against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday afternoon, missing his fourth straight game with an ankle injury. The good news is he should be back when the Rams face the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night.
Sean McVay said in his postgame press conference that he expects Kupp to play against the Vikings this week. He “was close” to playing against the Raiders and was listed as questionable, but the Rams want him to “return to performance,” not just “return to play.”
Kupp should provide a big boost to an offense that’s struggling badly right now, gaining only 259 total yards against the Raiders in Sunday’s 20-15 win.
In two games this season, Kupp has 18 catches for 147 yards and one touchdown.
While Kupp has been out, Tutu Atwell, Demarcus Robinson, Jordan Whittington and Tyler Johnson have all stepped up at wide receiver. Whittington notably did not play on Sunday, though, so his status will bear watching.
